Sway will build wind turbine prototype

In 2013, Sway will be deploying their 5 MW floating wind turbine off the coast of Karmøy, Norway. To prepare for this deployment Sway will begin building a prototype in late 2010. The prototype will help to provide technical verification and funding for the 5 MW turbine. On June 22nd, 2010, Sway received a pledge of support from the Norwegian Research Council for construction of the prototype. And on October 7th, 2010, Sway received a 2-year test permit from the Norwegian Coastal Administration.
